My name is Gyaneshwari. I was born in Chennai, a city of ancient temples and grew up in Trivandrum, a city of rich culture and heritage. After more than two decades in Southern India, I moved to Gurgaon at the age of 25. Gurgaon is a buzzing industrial and corporate hub near New Delhi in North India. I have a career spanning over 28 years, both full-time and freelancing. Engagements with multiple clients and companies in various industries have allowed me to develop diverse skills, knowledge and build relationships with people of all ages and backgrounds. More recently, I spent five years in Colombia, South America, a coffee-loving country with a rich and vibrant culture. My time there allowed me to immerse myself in Colombian culture and traditions and to draw parallels between those and my own Indian heritage. Over the years, I noticed that my friends in Colombia expressed fondness for the items I bought from India for my personal use. So, upon returning to India, I decided to export some of these coveted items for their enjoyment. This led me to establish Garud Exim. With Garud Exim, we aim to bring together product designers, local artisans and manufacturers who can collaborate and innovate to solve problems and simplify lives. Our desire is to incorporate a diverse range of unique and traditional local products with global appeal that can foster a connection between cultures across the globe.
Currently Garud Exim office is in industrial hub with countless various manufacturers. I have had the chance to visit several of these facilities and better understand their operations. I am amazed by the quality of products being offered by them. These manufacturing set-ups have state-of-the-art infrastructure and adherence to international standards and regulations. They have a multitude of international clients who are extremely satisfied with their products/services. While some of these manufacturers are passionate, innovative, forward-thinking, eager to embrace new design challenges, others are skilled and prefer to adhere to traditional methods. But what is common is that they are serving a multitude of happy clients across the world. I believe that cultural exchange builds a more understanding and compassionate world. I am grateful for the opportunity to use my business, GARUD EXIM, to connect people from different cultures and share the unique beauty of Indian products.
